Proposal for new West Berkeley development
This past Friday the proposal was presented at a special Civic Arts Commision meeting where the main topic of discussion was the predicament of West Berkeley artists. If the City buys off on certain zoning adjustments, what was once the Peerless Lighting plant at 2246 Fifth Street may become a mix of live/work loft, condo, gallery, office, and incubator space.
