Zelda Bronstein has officially entered the mayoral race.
Zelda Bronstein filed the necessary paperwork yesterday at City Hall. I look forward to hearing -and posting- more about Zelda and the other candidates’ platforms in the coming weeks/months.
For more info on her entry into the race, read the articles in today’s Daily Californian or the Oakland Tribune.

This woman is AWFUL!!! She attended a meeting at the Ecology Center last July regarding the problems with Pacific Steel Casting, and had the nerve to tell the assembled group that West Berkeley has “always been industrial” and should stay that way, public health be damned. Considering she lives in a tony home off the Alameda and is totally unaffected by the issues that plague West Berkeley, I find her “let them eat cake” attitude patronizing and insulting. She is also very much against progressive development of any kind that is more in keeping with the times we live in and the space West Berkeley citizens inhabit.
It will be interesting, then, to see her platform when she runs, and to ask her questions when the time comes.
